World Tobacco Day Observed in Nazareth
The World Tobacco Day event was held on the 3rd of June, 2024, at 12:30 PM in the auditorium of Nazareth Hospital. The program was organized by Fr. Vipin D'Souza, the Director of Nazareth Hospital, to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use and promote a tobacco-free lifestyle.
The event featured an awareness class given by Dr. R. P. Shukla (Senior Physician, Nazareth Hospital), who provided comprehensive insights into the health risks associated with tobacco consumption and the benefits of quitting. Dr. Shukla highlighted the importance of public health initiatives and individual efforts in reducing tobacco use.
