Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing Celebrates Graduation and Lamp Lighting Ceremony
Prayagraj, March 2, 2025 – A momentous occasion unfolded at Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing, Prayagraj, as the institution celebrated its 31st Batch of Graduates and 35th Lamp Lighting Ceremony with great joy and reverence. The event, held in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, and proud families, marked a significant milestone in the lives of the graduating nurses.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from the anchors, emphasizing the significance of the day—not just as an academic achievement but as the beginning of a lifelong commitment to compassionate service in the field of nursing.
Gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest was Honourable Mrs. Justice Manju Rani Chauhan from the Allahabad High Court. The Most Rev. Louis Mascarenhas, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Allahabad, presided over the event, alongside several distinguished guests, including: Rev. Fr. Royal Anthony, Education Director, Diocese of Bareilly, and Msgr. Reginald D’Souza, Vicar General, Diocese of Allahabad.
The Prayer Dance, a soulful invocation, set the spiritual tone of the event, followed by the Lighting of the Lamp—a symbol of wisdom and enlightenment. The Oath-Taking Ceremony, led by Rev. Sr. Alveena CSN, the principal, saw the 35th batch of GNM students pledge their commitment to the noble profession of nursing.
The Graduation Ceremony honored the 31st batch of GNM students, as they received their certificates from the honourable chief guest, and placed their lamps on the ceremonial stand, signifying their readiness to embark on their professional journey.
Among the highlights of the event was the presentation of prestigious awards: The Outstanding Achievement Award 2025 was conferred upon Ms. Deepika Pandey, recognizing her dedication, perseverance, and excellence in the Semi ICU Department. The Excellence Award 2025 was awarded to Ms. Neha Maurya, acknowledging her academic brilliance and commitment to compassionate service, especially in the Casualty.
The Speech by Honourable Justice Manju Rani Chauhan was a motivating address, encouraging students to uphold the values of integrity and selfless service in their profession.
A series of cultural performances, including a Fusion Dance and a Maha Kumbh Group Dance, captivated the audience, celebrating India’s rich heritage and the spirit of unity. The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Mary Thomas, a Cake-Cutting Ceremony, and the National Anthem, leaving the graduates and attendees with cherished memories of the special day.
